Chance a friend

This isn’t my chances but a chance for a “friend”/peer. All the info I post is all the info I know so far.

9th: 2.6
10:2.9
11:4.0
12:4.0 so far
SAT: 2250
300 community service hours
URM (black)
Student body president 11th and 12th grades
Runs an online business (website) that makes about $500 profits monthly
Worked at McDonalds since summer of 10th grade

Chances for Stanford, Princeton, Yale, Wharton (UPenn), Duke, UMich, Dartmouth, Cornell, Columbia, U of Chicago, Harvard NYU, and BU

HYPS will be hard with 10th/11th year grades, to be blunt.

That’s quite the turnaround between 9th/10th grade and 11th/12th! I would think the applicant, the teacher recommendations and the guidance counselor’s SSR Report would need to address the dramatic improvement and the reasons for it. A lot seems to have happened that cannot be identified by looking at the stats. Depending upon the circumstances and what was written by the applicant or by others, it could demonstrate the applicant’s growth, character and maturity level. It’s really impossible to chance, as there are too many variables and unknowns.
