P.S. - Near Seattle…so you LIVE in Washington, right?

I think you need to raise those test scores…600 sumthing wont get you into any top school. however, i think the bigger problem is your mentality. being too confident or in denial about getting into HYPS may eventually lead to a larger disappointment. I thought I was a good candidate until I saw many other competitors’ resumes. now I’m humble and optimistic, but not overly proud. I think you have good chances, but like everyone else…there’s no saying how it will turn out. well, best of luck!

This is one of the most arrogant “Chances” thread I’ve ever had the displeasure of reading.

I actually thought it was pretty halarious

I find it more depressing and sad lol.

I had myself a nice lol

“Chances please? I WAS IN TASP!”
“WHAT!?!?!? DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT EVEN IS??”
“YOU’RE ALL STUPID”

Get yourself some safeties

Did you guys see this thread by the OP?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=378919

This amused me because of the context.

I just got done reading that one as a matter of fact!

ivyplanter the fact that you ask about lying on aps leads me to believe that you lied on this thread. Reject at all.

I agree with the other two posters above me. After reading through this, I honestly doubt parts of it due to the fact that you were honestly thinking about lying (if you didn’t lie on this thread too.) If you wish to deceive us, that’s okay but you’ll only be hurting yourself in the long run. As long as you can deal with the guilt.

If you are exaggerating/lying about anything, definitely rejected from all. Scrape up some integrity before you fill out that app.

In context, the thread’s title is very hilarious.

I had to stop by and post once I’d read the thread title- lol

hilarious.

haha I would laugh so hard if the OP gets into a dream college but then gets her admission rescinded because they found out she lied on the application.

PS, ivyplanter, Pakistani is not URM.

I think she was referring to the idea that her being a goddess, made her a URM.

Really, ivyplanter, I think you have a great chance. You just need to improve your SAT scores. Also, I know of cases of where people have being rejected for coming off as arrogant. Even if you are not really conceited, you have to learn to be aware of the way you speak (type). Remember, no scores, no amount of APs, no extra-curricular, and no summer program can guarantee you entrance into top colleges. Everybody says this, but I’ll invoke the words; it’s a crapshoot.
