Traveling doesn’t boost your app, but you could write a great essay about travel and that could definitely help.
What’s your gender + ethnicity (I assume you’re Indian)

that gpa really kills you. do whatever you can to get that even just above 3.0; the psychological impression the 2.9 give is hard to turn around; just the second you see that 2 it really hurts. work your ass off this semester and first semester next year to raise that up. any number starting with a 3 would help so much even if its not muchc of a change

idk about the other colleges but I can tell you that USAFA will be an extremely high reach I won’t say no chance because that only happens if you don’t apply your GPA really destroys your app try to do well on the SAT retake and consider an ACT plus you can always go to a decent college do well and transfer.

Yes, I’ve been trying very hard, and even if I can get a loooow 3, i’m trying to get leadership positions and more com service to improve it, but so far, everything is a reach for me is that right?

thats one way to look at it but if you work on your SATs you would have a much better chance with good recs

oh yes, getting a better SAT score was a given from the start, I’m hoping to get above 2000+ through rapid studying for the May exam. I was also going to chalk up the bad grades as to not knowing what exactly I wanted to do in life.
