Chance a Junior?

Hi! I love Notre Dame, like it’s my absolute favorite place in the whole world. That sounds corny, but that so true. I’ve been there every summer since I was born and it’s just like home. I can’t imagine myself anywhere else. So, I would really like to just see if other people think I’m moving in the right direction and can offer any admissions advice. Thank you!

ACT: 28
GPA: 3.89
Rank: top 5%

Next year: AP Euro, AP French, AP Lit, AP Psych, Honors Physics, Honors Pre Calc, Advanced Mixed Choir, and Theory of Learning
I also took AP US last year and got a 4

Extracurriculars:

 • Quiz Bowl- Starter (went with the team to nationals last year)
 • French Club- Publicity Officer
 • Future Educators of America- President
 • Drama Club- Social Chair
 • NHS
 • Student Senate- Senator (hopefully secretary next year)
 • Lifeteen Youth Group- Teen Leader
 • Catchiest and Sunday School teacher at my parish
 • Student liaison to parent choir board
 • School Musical
 • Dance classes for 15 years

Awards:

 • Quiz Bowl Award from my school
 • Certificate of Achievement from the district for Quiz Bowl
 • Several Solo and Ensemble Awards, including a “1” (excellent) rating in Solo singing
 • Several pieces of my writing published in the school’s literary journal
 • National Novel Writing Month Completionist
 • Varsity letter in choir and quiz bowl

Other: My mom got her Masters Degree (theology) from Notre Dame, I’m not sure if that makes me a legacy.

I know that my ACT score is definitely my low point. I go to a very competitive public school that often sends several students to top schools (I don’t know if that makes a difference).

Like I said earlier, some idea of if I’m in the right direction and any other advice would be greatly appreciated. I know I have time to go, but I feel like I should know now, than before it’s too late. Thank you! :)
