i would like to major in psychology and french and would LOVE to play the viola in georgetown’s orchestra :)

oh, and i would like to apply EA. good idea, bad idea?

You’ve got a nice resume (congratulations on your good HS record) and a decent shot at G’town. However, since you are a veteran CC’er, you won’t forget that there is no sure thing among selective schools. You’ll be in the running but so will a lot of other qualified kids.

I would say apply as a French major because there’s less competition, I think, for the languages - whereas tons and tons of people want to be psych majors and some, if not many, will outrank you. I forget when I heard this, but Gtwn supposedly does admissions sorted specifically by major.

Thanks! But even if I were to apply as a French major, I could still declare a major in psych later as well, right?

Launguage majors are required to either take another language at an intensive level, complete a degree with business coursework, OR double major. So yeah, you can do whatever you want as long as your schedule permits.

p.s. Violas rock!

awesome!

and violas are the best instrument :)

lmao violins totally rule
:P

haha violas rock too!
maybe raise that ACT score a bit, i still think you have a good chance

ahhh…violins…they always get the melody :(

lol :)
