Hey, I’m from Minnesota too!!!
Where around Minnesota are you from?

Ok, so, being from Minnesota (an underepresented state) will help you a lot. You have a really good ACT score, specially superscored, but the 3s you got on those AP exams are going to hurt you a little bit. You have excellent ECs (baseball and snowboarding should both be a plus, as well as your passion for music - and even habitat for humanity). All in all, you seem to be an extremely well rounded applicant. Although, your GPA is a little on the low side.

But, I’d say your chances at all the schools you listed are great! Although, maybe you should think of EDing at Cornell instead. Unless you REALLY want to go to Northwestern. The thing is, Northwestern probably receives a lot of applicants from Minnesota, but Cornell probably does not, thus you would increase your chances much more at Cornell.

Ohh, and maybe you should think about removing UVA from your list. Since you are OOS, the chances of getting in are EXTREMELY slim. I also really wanted to apply to UVA, but now I’m thinking otherwise (a waste of $50, really).

And you stated you were a legacy? At what school though? Also, would you be needing FA?

Oh sorry I was just copying a format from another thread so I didn’t mean to say that I’m a legacy, it says I have no hooks. I am a huge legacy at The U but I’m not too worried about that one. My uncle is also a distinguished faculty at the Northwestern Med School.

Last bump…any other opinions???

A lot of my friends are going/planning on going to UW Madison, and I can almost guarantee you’d be accepted there. I think you’d be safe for Minnesota too. Your first three listed colleges will probably be the toughest, but your ACT would be competitive at all of them. NU seems like low-mid reach, but being related to a faculty member at Feinberg will definitely help:) Good Luck!
Feel free to chance me…the thread is called Marquette/Notre Dame/Duke/Vanderbilt…probably on the second page by now.
