Chance a Native American (Reach I know)

@amciw: Hence why I said “On an unrelated note.” It was just a part of his resume which I took a personal interest in. And no, my comments cannot be applied to both sides. Just think about that for a second… You didn’t seriously just compare MSNBC to Limbaugh and Fixed News, did you? MSNBC presents from a liberal point of view but is fair and states all facts. Fox Noise egregiously distorts the truth and leaves out facts. Limbaugh should really be self explanatory. Anyway, I was just curious for his rationale.

@User23201507 Eh… Laissez-Faire really killed us these past 8 years. I like the Keynesian theory and Princeton’s very own Nobel-laureate economist Paul Krugman. I also don’t believe fetuses are humans, since they can’t live independently. I believe that it’s wrong to force people who accidentally had a child to bear the responsibility of being a parent. It screws over both the child and the parents. (The parents can’t adequately care for the child in most cases, or don’t love it.) But to each his own. I’ll read up on your tribe story, it does sound interesting.

be happy that you’re not asian in this godforsaken country

Still, I’m not sure it is appropriate for a chances thread. Regarding the comparisons, no, I did not compare MSNBC to Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. I compared it only with the former. The latter I compared to Code Pink. Regarding each comparison specifically, how can something be fair if presented from a liberal point of view? I’ve watched Keith Olbermann cover the Sotomayor nomination, and all he does is act as if Republicans are finding contrivances to maliciously Swift-boat her. I don’t see him presenting all the facts of the issue; he is too busy bashing conservatives to present everything. Whenever he covers Obama, its always a focus on the conservatives bashing Obama, not anything relating to an analysis of the facts pertinent to Obama’s proposed policy. In the second comparison, Limbaugh versus Code Pink is a more than fair; both are extremists exhibiting little rational thought who appeal to the sadly too substantial far right or left fringe elements of their respective parties.

Edited in, but I just realized my first post said Bill Ayers, not Code Pink - which I thought it did. I think either would be useful comparison to Rush Limbaugh.

I’m going to try to stay away from a heated debate. But when someone murders a pregnant women it’s consider a double homicide. Oh and someone earlier replied whats my class rank. Our class isn’t ranked. If anyone else wants to chance me it’d be greatly appreciated.

I’d just try to get that SAT up.

Try the ACT? I did much better on the ACT than on the SAT.

@amciw: I’ll make this the final word on this so we don’t end up completely hijacking weswood’s thread. You clearly don’t watch enough Keith Olbermann. He gives ALL of the facts and analyzes them for you. He portrays the Republicans as stalling idiots because they are stalling idiots. One of them was even dumb enough to admit it. “It will be his waterloo. It will break him.” -Senator James DeMint (R) South Carolina on delaying the HealthCare plan. Then you have them trying to pin some reverse-racist label on a judge who couldn’t be more down the middle, with JEFF SESSIONS taking part in that. Known former-racist Jeff Sessions is accusing somebody of being a reverse-racist.

Then you’ve got “I’m a fighter but I’m a quitter”, “Hiking on the old Appalaichan trail”, “I’m a pretty wide guy”, “Paying for love Ensign”, and the previous administration, who declared “mission accomplished” in Iraq some 2,220 odd days ago, along with warrantless wiretapping, torturing, revealing a covert CIA operative, and worst of all… Torturing terrorists into a false confession that they were affiliated with Iraq and using that as justification to invade Iraq.

You’ve got an economy that was crashed by Alan “I’m just going to sit here all day because the market regulates itself and the housing market will never fail” Greenspan who disgraced Adam Smith and showed how stupid Laissez-Faire tactics are. You have a party filled with racists and conspiracy theorists who think that Obama wasn’t born in the United States. You have a party who criticized the Democratic budget and then proceeded to come up with their own… With no numbers. In a recent survey, Rush Limbaugh was the leading candidate for being the leader of the Republican party behind “Nobody”.

There is zero difference between regular news and MSNBC aside from the fact that MSNBC will analyze it for you. I watched both types of news. In addition, it’s ludicrous to even suggest that MSNBC has nearly the influence of Faux News or Boss Limbaugh.

^ I support Saugus on this one :)

and, btw weswood, my mom wrote a thesis paper on the dialect of the Lumbee tribe. Hope that everything is good “on the swamp” :D

Actually, I’d rather love to continue it. Want me to start a new thread in the Politics section of the Cafe/Parent’s Forum?

^
OK, sure. Saugus vs amciw it is!

I look forward to winning.

The thread will be started shortly. I think the title make it quite obvious which one it is.
