@Charlie_Getman

If you are high income, it sounds like you are fortunate not to have budget concerns. Could you please clarify this…

Yes! Sorry I made a typo

Thanks for your kind words! I picked UMD due to its proximity to Washington DC and I picked UW-Madison due to its location in a state capital (as well as finding plenty to like in their academic programs). I’ll admit their size is not ideal for me, but finding safer schools isn’t easy and they ticked a lot of boxes for me. Thanks for your suggestions though! I’ll definitely give Charleston a second look.

If you want to add smaller local schools, Vassar or Trinity could be good fits & Haverford students can access a 5 year Masters in Urban Planning with Penn.

Good Luck!

GWU is pretty competitive for politics. I’d move it to target from likely. I do think it’s more likely than not you’re admitted, but for me “likely” probably means 80%+ chance and I don’t think it’s there.

Have you shown lots of interest for AU? If so, yes it’s a likely. If not, don’t be surprised at a waitlist (because of your high stats, not in spite of them).

It is not too late to show interest in American. Just open their emails and sign up for and log into virtual events. But the poster is correct they do yield protect with higher scoring applicants. I am curious why Brown? With the policy focus for reaches Harvard, Michigan, Berkeley, U Chicago? (Public policy is both my kids focus)
