VI. Colleges Being Considered:
Princeton [I know super reach, but admissions officer wants me to apply]
Dartmouth
Brown
Brandeis
Middlebury
Villanova
U of Rochester
SUNY @ Geneseo

Thanks again for reading, and don’t worry… I WILL chance you back!

Princeton- Reach, as you stated. You have as good a chance as most anyone

Dartmouth- Low(er) Reach, Its an Ivy so its really hard to say match. You have great scores though.

Brown- Similar to Dartmouth, same idea, slightly higher reach.

Brandeis- Match

Middlebury- Match

Villanova- Match

U of Rochester- Not sure

SUNY @ Geneseo- Not sure

You have a great GPA, etc. Great ACT score. Maybe retake the SAT Subject tests again. If you can break 750 youll be much better of for the upper schools.

Great GPA, ACT. Work on SAT IIs (Princeton requires a minimum of three anyway)

Princeton- Take the SAT IIs. Reach regardless of score (although obviously less so with higher score, it just is with most everyone).
Brown- slightly higher than Dartmouth, but I’d say Low Reach.
Dartmouth- Low Reach

I think you’re a match or in at all of the following (my lack of knowledge at each individual makes me unable to delineate):
Brandeis
Middlebury
Villanova
U of Rochester
SUNY @ Geneseo

Thanks a lot to everyone who chanced me! I kind of refuse to retake any of my SAT II’s because I don’t feel like studying so hard to only improve by a couple of points anyways. Similar to the ACT.

@ Ankered: Princeton only requires two now =]]
@ Logic: I may end up applying to another SUNY as a safety… but I feel like that I blow away Geneseo’s standards, so it’s not necessary.

Princeton - High Reach

Dartmouth - Reach

Brown - Reach

Brandeis - Match

Middlebury - Low Reach/ High Match

Villanova - In w/ money

U of Rochester - In w/ money

SUNY @ Geneseo - In w/ money

I would add more high matches and low reaches. Low reaches like Northwestern, Rice, Bowdoin, Gtown and high matches like Emory. Also might look at some lacs like Colgate or Vassar.

Princeton- Reach
Dartmouth- Low Reach
Brown- High match/low reach
Brandeis- Match
Middlebury- IDK
Villanova- Low Match
U of Rochester- IDK
SUNY @ Geneseo- Low Match

Your ACTs are amazing! And your EC’s are looking really good! Seriously, that amount of community service is very impressive, I agree with the other posters, add more schools and more possibilities! :)

@ danijinc: I have pretty large extenuating circumstances that will probably help me get more aid including father’s marriage to another women and having a child, business near bankrupcy and huge mortgages left on two houses to pay off and a brother attending college next year. I’ll be okay for most of the schools, thanks for your concerns.

There are some serious flaws in a lot of the advice that you’re getting, although I’m not sure I could do much better. People are responding who don’t have a good understanding of the level of selectivity of all these schools. Just my two cents worth.
