Chance a senior!(Will Chance back)

Wow, this is a truly incredible story. I believe that with those numbers along with those inspirational ECs, I think you have a shot at most of the schools you mentioned. But, of course, Stanford is always a reach with any sort of numbers or ECs, so not to sure about that. Overall, the passion you have in your ECs and solid stats will lead you to a great life no matter what college you go to. Best of luck!

Thank you. Means a lot.

Yeah I’m applying Stanford REA and really hoping for the best. But of course it’s just so hard to get into, so I’m staying realistic about it

You have a pretty good chance at majority of these schools. But for schools like Stanford some of the best students I know apply and they don’t get in for some reason. Just do your best in your application. I think the way you mentioned your disabilities and how you overcame them can really help your application. Chance me back? Thanks in advance! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1819452-what-are-my-chances-of-getting-into-unc-chapel-hill.html#latest

Will do, thanks

@Mchichioco I’m going to try and give you the most accurate prediction I can based on your gpa and test scores(extracurriculars are too subjective and can’t be converted to numbers):
Stanford- Very unlikely given you gpa and test score. I would put your chances anywhere from 1% to 3%.

NYU- High chances of admission based on test scores and gpa I would say 50%-60% chance of admission since your gpa is above the mean and your ACT is near the 75th percentile.

BC- I would say if you apply early action you have a +50% of admission since your test scores are in the 75th percentile. If you apply regular decision then 40%-50%.

North Eastern- More selective these days your gpa and ACT score are in the median, I would say 35%-40% on regular decision. However, if you apply early action you have a 50%-60% admission chance. Very business oriented, they told me they wanted to create an entrepreneurial environment

USC(both parents got their MBA here.)- I would say you probably have a 30%-40% chance of admission. Your gpa is in the mean and your ACT is 1 point below median for admitted students. Your legacy stats helps boost your chances also.
Loyola Marymount(Mom went for undergrad)- Your in 100% chance of admission. I can’t see you being rejected here your chances are so high might as well be 100%, actual figures probably 80%-90%.

Claremont McKenna College-Very selective college hard to predict even with a perfect test score and gpa. I would say apply early decision to have a +30% chance of admission otherwise your chances are probably between 10%-15%.

Emory University- Not as selective in early decision. I also presume you mean emory college right? At emory college students with act scores ranging from 30-36 make up 59% of the 17681 applicants so 10431 applicants. These students make up 76% of the entering class of 4685 so 3560. This gives students with ACT scores between 30-36 a 34.1% admit rate. Now in terms of gpa, applicants with gpa’s above 3.8 make up 43% of all applicants so 7602 students and 67% of admits so 3139 therefore students with a gpa of 3.8 or above have a 42.3% admit rate. Therefore based on admissions statistics your chances are anywhere between 35%-40% overall. Now since ED1 applicants have a 52% chance of admission if you apply early decision 1 you have a 60%-70% admit rate.

Fordham University- Easily a 70%-80% admit rate based on gpa and ACT score alone. You’re basically in.

Tulane University- If you apply early decision you have a 50%-60% chance of admission based on test scores and gpa. If you apply regular decision than anywhere between 30%-40% admit rate however more realistically you have a 30%-35% admit rate.

Hope this helps and good luck(Sorry for the long post just trying to be thorough)

Northeastern, Loyola, and Fordham would probably be safeties, and I’d say all of the other schools would be targets for you with the exception of USC and Emory, which would be reach unless applying early decision, which could potentially increase your chances. Your ACT/GPA is good, but your extracurriculars are amazing- I love how you used public speaking to help with TS, and colleges would definitely look up upon that. Good luck!

(sidenote- I’ve also suffered from a few disabilities/health problems throughout my life, and I’m here if you need to talk about it at any point.)

Northeastern is a match at best, not a safety.

@TomSrOfBoston Applying early decision would make it a safety for the OP since admit rate +50% for his gpa and ACT score.

@Ali1302 No. Northeastern has never published such stats. If you look back at last December’s decision thread on CC you will see that many students reported being deferred and even denied with such stats. If you are privy to data that no one else has please post the link.

@TomSrOfBoston It’s common sense if Northeastern have a 32% admit rate regular decision then early decision is going to be higher. Most applicants with the OPs stats are going to get admitted, college forum barely shows 1% of applicants. I would say the 50% figure would apply here. Notice that I said +50% not 100% so at least +40% of the applicants with this gpa and test score get rejected, deferred or waitlisted.

@Ali1302

but you stated in post 27 that Northeastern would be a safety.
