ECs: I recently have done medical volunteering in latin America for three weeks at a children’s hopsital. I am a Writer for my college newspaper, play intramural sports, and tutor at my college. Over the summer, before I started my freshman year at college, I spent numerous hours tutoring underprivileged kids, working at soup kitchens, a nursing home and working a part time job.

I have no hooks. So, do I stand a good shot or what?

The only meaningful answer I can give you is that you’re well in the ballpark. Great numbers, but you’re going to need to set yourself apart in your essays and hopefully have equally stellar, unique recommendations from profs who are willing to go to bat for you. You’re also going to have to have a very specific, justifiable reason for transferring to Penn and why your goals will be best achieved there.
