Chance a UCSD, UCLA Reject!

got rejected from ucsd, but did get into calpoly: san luis obispo
waiting on davis irvine and sb

uc gpa: 3.9
act: 25
comm serv: 200+ hrs

first choice: UC Davis
applied as neurobiology, physiology and behavior major.
i do not know if that was a good idea. is it impacted at davis or am i good? does anybody know?

Acceptances for Davis will come out on the 24th… not sure what time – could be in the evening, so you will know your status by Friday for sure.

You should know from Irvine… those came out over the weekend.

@ventureman UCI decisions are rumored to come out in waves by Wednesday the 23rd. More rumors say that a final wave of acceptances will come out on Tuesday and all the rejections will come out Wednesday. But we’ll see. I definitely haven’t gotten mine yet though

so i mentioned before on how i had some important stuff missing from my application (ELC and acadec). I thought i would tell you how UC Davis ended up for me.

I GOT IN WITHOUT ELC!! The results were posted on the 24th and i looked at 12:01 and they were up. So this just proves how much i love Davis for being so speedy.

I also got into UC Berkeley. I seriously thought it was a stretch after UCLA and UCSD rejected me but apparently the college gods had mercy.

Im not trying to rub this in anyone’s face or anything, i just wanted to post something so that if in the future some stressed kid finds this, they get a little relief from knowing that there is hope yet.

So just to recap: UC Davis and UC Berkeley are amazing because they want more than just an ELC kid. It seems like they care more about a well-rounded student than one who is just strong in academics or one aspect of the application. Never count yourself out. And remember that where you go now doesn’t have to be where you stay for forever. I wish everyone the best of luck!
