I study in a SouthEastAsian School so i hope it might not make it more difficult to chance me due to the lack of any GPA scores or NationalMerit whatnots. there is a two year gap between my education from highschool to college due to my military service.</p>

<p>The poster above can’t possibly tell you that you’re a “reach” without knowing what your major is.</p>
<p>I’m guessing you’re going for something math or science related so you have a decent chance with those SAT 2 scores. The SAT is also decent, but retaking it and scoring a little higher would definitely help you a lot. If you plan on minoring or double majoring in something humanities-related (which you should definitely consider, seeing as you have great grades in those subjects), mention it in your application. That would add an important well-roundedness to your application. Also, the military thing is very interesting so you should definitely mention that. Just remember to make sure your essays convey your uniqueness. Good luck!</p>
<p>thanks guys. it helped me with what i need to do b4 i apply. I initially intended to major in Business from Marshall, but after seeing all the scholar candidates get in, i am perhaps moving my focus on Economics from the lettersartscience school.</p>
<p>yeah, my essay would probably have uniqueness as it is on my military life and i figured that will be the best thing to write considering the extremely low % of people have the same topic. </p>
<p>problem is i am not very writing-inclined so i will need to work hard on that. i am just afraid USC is “too good a school” for my current grades and that I should look somewhere else? what do you guys think?</p>

<p>I got rejected from USC the first time I applied because I had around a 3.2 GPA. After a year of community college I had a 3.6 and I got into the same program that rejected me (Cinematic Arts).</p>
