<p>not taking honors classes where they’re available is going to really hurt you, and that kind of puts MIT, Cornell, and Georgetown out of reach probably, since they really look for students who challenge themselves. considering you haven’t taken the SAT yet, i’m assuming you’re a junior, so to up your chances, definitely take honors/AP classes your senior year.</p>

<p>MIT, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon and Georgetown are all huge reaches as you have not taken any honors classes (assuming they are offered at your school). Everywhere else is fair game. <p>@PrinceMuzic I did take 2 honors classes, and I am self-studying for AP Computer Science A, the major I intend on pursuing in college. Also, my senior year, I will take several AP classes and a couple honors classes.</p>
