Chance a west coaster?

<p>I am a junior going to a small private high school in los angeles. I am thinking of applying to Duke, UVA, Vandy, etc. Do I have a good chace?!
GPA- 4.0 UW 4.8 W
SAT I 2110
SAT II World History 760 (I am taking Math 2 and Spanish this year)
Rank 2/90
APs- 5 on World, taking English, Calc AB, Envir Science and Spanish this year.
Senior Classes- Chem at local community college, AP Calc BC, AP english, Ap human geography</p>

<p>ECs-
Varsity soccer goalkeeper -3 yrs. CIF finals freshman year.
Club soccer 7 years.
Varsity softball 2 years.
Mock Trial- lead defense attorney- best defense attorney award.
Volunteer at nonprofit Aids Support Network. 2 yrs. many many hours. 150+.
AIDS walk for life- 2 yrs. I run registration for the walk.
JSA- chapter president and founder. Part of winter congress cabinet and assembly member. going to georgetown for summer program through JSA. hoping to be on Cabinet next year.
Interact Club- 3 yrs. running for position.
Spanish club president. means nothing- we just have fiestas.
School wide ASB secretary.
Intern for Director of County Health this summer.
Paid Reffing for local soccer- 2 yrs.
Working for OBAMA/ local reps campaign offices. (phone banking, booths etc)</p>

<p>I think you have a decent shot at those three schools, though it’s hard to say these days. I’d recommend retaking that SAT and beginning to plan out your essays now. Good luck!</p>

<p>Thanks! I just took the SAT this weekend…praying my superscore goes up! and I am taking the ACT in June so hopefully I will score a 33+. Any other suggestions? I know it comes down to Essays and Recs, because almost everyone who applies has great stats.</p>

<p>You definitely have a good shot, but your SAT score is a little weak. You will be safer if you can get it up by ~150 points. :)</p>

<p>Good luck on the SAT II’s! Your math II exam in particular will be very important in showing diversity of abilities. </p>
