Chance me, and I’ll chance you back. I promise!

How do you know you got a 5 on that Euro test already? I wouldn’t be too cocky if I were you…! Just kidding, you did awesome probably
Your stats are much much much more better than mine (I’m a rising junior as well). Just keep up the good work and you’ll be right on track to Stanford…idk about early, though. But you’ll still get in, I’m sure :]

You’re obviously good stats-wise. Consider taking a non-math/sci SAT 2 for the sake of well-roundedness.

How good are you at swimming? You have to be amazing to swim at a D1 school like Stanford but I’m sure you’re at least decent for DIII (MIT) if you already plan on swimming in college. I think sports will be the tipping factor in your application.

@Jamesford- I’ll be taking the Korean SAT with listening. My swimming and water polo skills are pretty good. I was able to make it to my section championships.

My SAT breakdown is CR-750. M- 800, W-750.

Also do you think MIT/Stanford would frown or praise that I’m applying as a junior?

Make sure your essays are DIFFERENT from all the Asian science geniuses out there. I actually know an Asian male, similar stats/EC level, who applied only to MIT and Stanford (EA and RD respectively) AS A JUNIOR; he was deferred/rejected from MIT and accepted early write to Stanford. Good luck.

I don’t think the age thing will make much difference, except that you should be prepared to explain why you’re “done” with your high school’s academic offerings and why you’re mature enough for college. Also, you will be competing against students who had an extra year to polish their resumes.

Oh, I was under the impression that you would apply early your senior year. Applying as a junior will make things much more difficult for you. You will have to compete against kids who have 1 more year of classes, 1 more year of ECs, etc

Unless your senior year would basically be a waste (e.g. you exhausted the HS curriculum and can’t take college classes), don’t apply as a junior.
