and one more question regarding UCF. does anyone have information on their summer program where you take classes and get a certain gpa you get accepted for the fall term?? thanks everybody!!!

bumppppppppp

You could probably get into University of West Florida, but even that may be a stretch. I don’t think you have a chance at getting into the schools on your list. You may need to go to a community college for the first two years.

With the budget cuts, they’ve gotten more selective.

If you don’t get accepted to any of the selected universities, then I’m sorry. However, Valencia Community College (VCC) is always a viable option. They have a program called “Direct Connect to UCF.” I know this, because I’m dual-enrolled at Valencia and it’s plastered all over the campus. What this program consists of is quite simple: get your AA or AS (2 year degree) from Valencia and you’re guaranteed acceptance in to UCF.

I’m not extremely knowledgeable about the program, but that’s the basic gist of it. There are bound to be other restrictions or stipulations to the program, but there is definitely an opportunity for you to attend a university. I definitely suggest planning for all possibilities, so if something happens and you’re disappointed, you’re not completely lost as to what you’re going to do for your future. Valencia may be a community college, but it’s a good institution to attend, regardless of any labels or stereotypes. It’s also one of the largest community colleges in the country, with four different campuses. There’s endless possibilities, including transferring to another institution besides UCF.
