Chance an international? (:

STATS
Gender: Female
Citizen: UK (International Student)
Race: White-british?
Grade: Homeschooled (10th)
Income: Gonna need financial aid (~$40000 per annum including step-dad). I don’t actually live with them though.

SCORES
SAT: (taken in 9th, retaking next year) 1690 (CR 570, WR 600, M 520)
SAT II: (not taken yet) Mathematics I, Biology, Physics

EC’s
I’m a volunteer for a dog-walking for the elderly trust (have been since freshman year).
I help out at the local animal rescue (socialising puppies, walking the dogs, cleaning out kennels, feeding).
I’m a member of a local tennis club (for fun, not competition).
I volunteer at a charity shop (It’s a heart foundation. My dad died of a heart attack the summer before my freshman year & I started volunteering there after my 15th birthday).

COLLEGES
I’m actually hoping for some suggestions? (: They have to offer financial aid to international students though, whether merit or need-based. I do have Wilkes down as a safety though, would that be right?

Thanks for your chances. :D

Bumping! (:

sorry to break it to you but your chances are extremely low if you need financial aid as an internation. With your scores and the fact that you are homeschooled and the fact that you only volunteering, which is average, as your EC, i don’t see any school throwing money at you. However, $40k should be enough so don’t apply for aid.

I didn’t think whether I needed financial aid or not affected if I was accepted or not? Extra-curricular wise yep, I do understand that. I’ve been hoping to enter some competitions, etc to add awards to the list but extra curriculars aren’t a common thing in the UK. We don’t have all the clubs, etc that are common things in US high schools. I wish we did! Do you think that would be taken into consideration? Thanks for the chance, I really appreciate it! (:
