<p>Let your junior year play out man. Get your grades and SATs set in stone and then come back. Do something significant this summer or next and have an EC that really pops if you want to get into an Ivy. Don’t sweat it … you’ll be fine. Chances are with those grades and strong SATs, you’ll get into at least one ivy.</p>

<p>ED definitely raises your statistical advantage by anywhere from 10-20% depending on the college, but you’re competing against a more talented pool. </p>
<p>I’ll say if you get 2300+ SAT, you should have a very good chance at Upenn ED.</p>
<p>i agree with everyone else, and a 226 on your psat is incredible, like legit, i bow down to you. but how do you have 4 years of basketball jv and varsity if you’re only a rising junior? are your ecs and leadership stuff just predictions of how you’ll stand when applying to college over a year from now? just curious.
but keep up the good smartsy stuff and you’ll deff get in somewhere good, and if your hearts set on penn, applying early is an easy option (not because it’s waaaaayyy easier to get in, it’ll just make senior year a whole hell of a lot less stressful). wish you the best of luck!</p>
<p>@superstarpie- Seniors are basically guaranteed a spot on varsity at my school and the coach basically told me that i’m on the team this year (I was already on varsity tennis last year and we don’t have too much talent coming in so that will probably hold up too). I have already been elected as a class senator so the only projection is JLP which is a leadership/mentoring program. The rest of the stuff I have already started and will most likely continue through senior year.</p>
<p>Hmm, I’d say the Ivys and Stanford are all reaches, but you already knew that. You probably have a good shot at Cornell though, BC and Northwestern are matches, and BU you will most probably get in to. Thanks for chancing me, by the way, and best of luck to you.</p>
<p>I suggest looking at some safeties for you. Safeties that you will like and maybe can have in your pocket early. You do have a good shot at getting into a number of the colleges on your list, and it is not a problem that you are reaching high. I just suggest you look for that likely school that you can have in your pocket. That is the toughest find in the college search. Any one can cherry pick the top schools off of a list or reel off the names of the most selective schools. It’s finding those more hidden gems that will accept you for sure and that you can like that is difficult.</p>
