Chance at ivys?

<p>I’m a rich white guy who goes to a fancy prep school in new england, and I was wondering if you could chance me at some of the ivys, even though writing this won’t actually help me at all.</p>

<p>SAT: 2400- essay 12 (I took it twice and got the same score twice to prove that it was legitimate)
ACT:36- essay 12
SAT II</p>

<p>Chinese:740(This is pretty good considering that I randomly filled in bubbles and don’t know a word of Chinese )
French:800
Math IIC:800
MathXXIXC:800(I wrote the test)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
oh the regular
National Honor Society
National Merit Finalist
Founded “United Nations”
President of the United States('88-'08)
I play 16 instruments in the School Band</p>

<p>Awards:
I am the Dalai Lama
US Olympic Math Team
Most babies saved from burning buildings (5 year running)
etc…</p>

<p>recs from Gandhi and the Beatles so they should be pretty good</p>

<p>soo what do you think? Am I whiny and obnoxious enough to stand a chance in an ivy league school?</p>

<p>Okay, you’re the Dalai Lama–too bad, because this year, Harvard is only taking people that have cured at least one form of cancer, and Yale is only taking people that won at least one political primary earlier this year. I see where you ran for president of Nepal, but that doesn’t count.</p>

<p>Fortunately, you taught at Emory last year and should help you get into Penn because they have decided to convert from Quaker to Methodist, but I think that and Brown’s applied mathematics of sailing program may be your only chances (and that’s only because three of the freshmen at Brown had their calculators misfunction and they drowned during class last year, thus opening up a few spots). Columbia was acquired by Donald Trump and thus wants only people who were in TV reality shows or in beauty pageants last year, and Cornell is all about athletics (I understand they are joining the SEC next year and have been having their adcoms visiting powerhouse Hoover High in Alabama to find new students). Dartmouth has decided to become its own country and succeed from the US–and therefore is building a wall around the campus to keep out the illegal US aliens.</p>

<p>Maybe you can convince the people at Princeton that because you founded the United Nations and fulfilled their former chancellor’s (Woodrow Wilson) dream, they should allow you to sweep up the hallways during the week. Then, you could pull a “Good Will Hunting” and write stuff on the blackboards that will get you admitted.</p>

<p>the ivies are a reach for any1 and adcoms are rl unpredicktable. i say that you have as good a shot as anyone. good luck!</p>

<p>Yeah, your ECs are a little weak. Babies from a fire? I don’t think you have much of a chance unless those you saved were elderly men and women… 20 at minimum all in the past year would probably have been better. Oh well. There’s always the next life!</p>

<p>Simultaneously? If yes, I’d say you have a slightly better than average chance at the Ivies.</p>
