<p>Here’s a summary of my high school transcripts: </p>
<p>Freshman year I have two honors classes (Honors Geometry and Honors Biology) and straight As</p>
<p>Sophomore year I have 3 honors classes and one AP class ( history) and mostly As with about 3 Bs, and a 5 on the AP euro test</p>
<p>Now during my first junior year, I missed most of the school year due to a special illness (for which I have doctors notes and a school counselor note etc) Because of this I received fails for my second semester classes (I was enrolled in a full AP schedule with honors precalc)</p>
<p>However I repeated Junior year with the following schedule/grades using two online schools: (keystone national high school and EPGY online). Due to a reoccurring illness for which I needed operations done I’ve been unable to attend a public school. So here’s my junior year schedule and grades:</p>
<p>During the summer before junior year I took honors precalc on EPGY and got As for both sems.</p>

<p>I’ve received As in all of these classes for both semesters, and have gotten 5s on all of the corresponding AP exams (AP World hist, physics c mech, physics c electricity, english, art history, micro econ, macro econ, psyche, and calc BC)</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars/Honors</p>
<p>Semi-Finalist of California State science fair during 2nd junior year, Semi-finalist in the Physics Bowl competition, AIME Qualifier, DEVELOP science internship, state poetry contest winner, scholastic essay semi-finalist, National AP Scholar Award, NHS, 20+ hrs a week working at Kumon and at my dad’s construction site to support our low income family/to pay for my online classes and summer internships</p>
<p>As for personal stuff, I come from a poor family, neither of my parents have graduated high school, I have a prosthetic leg (complications from which led to my initial downfall during junior year :() </p>
<p>I’m a really good writer and I feel my app essays will be strong; I also have some great recommendations from my history, calculus and english teachers as well as from my doctor at my hospital that I’ve seen for years for my prosthetic, and my DEVELOP research advisor. </p>
<p>My absolute dream school is MIT, but I’m worried that because I had to repeat Junior year I won’t even have a chance at the UCs :(</p>
<p>My counselor said that it’s POSSIBLE that she can use my grades from second junior year to go back and change the fails from second sem junior year but the problem is that my family screwed up and forgot to call in the illnesses meaning that I have about 2 weeks worth of truants, thus disallowing me from receiving incompletes instead of fails. However my prosthetic doctor said he would write me a full letter of rec to my colleges explaining my prolonged illness and its affect on my course work etc. My school also recognizes that I was sick, but they’re being artarded admins. </p>
<p>So I was hoping if some pro college admissions officer or grad could help me out here</p>
