If I had to guess, I’d say in. Your stats are good and I believe 1st generation is a huge hook at NYU. By the way, in case you’re worried about FA, NYU has a huge scholarship for first generation students and you don’t even have to apply for it.

Hmm so lets say I get accepted, but my second semester Calc BC grade is like a D/C-, will it affect admission? My AP Gov, AP Econ, Lit, and Soc grades will probably be As/B+s.

Very nice!
UCI and NYU (LSP) have accepted me.
Just waiting to hear from the other two.
And I’m pretty sure you just need to maintain a 3.0 and you’re good.

Basically these students take a bunch of liberal arts courses for their first 2 years, then actually enter CAS (and Steinhardt and/or Gallatin - maybe?) as juniors and continue on with whatever major they choose. This is offered to student who don’t quite make it into the college they applied to, but are still admitted to NYU. Not all NYU colleges LSP applicants, like Stern.

Also, I’m having trouble deciding now between staying in PoliSci only or double majoring in Macro/Polisci or Macro/International Relations. Can I switch once I get accepted?
