I’m a senior with a 4.0 weighted, 3.7 unweighted gpa. I’m ranked in the top 1% of my class. My SAT isn’t great, 510cr, 630m, 600w. Hopefully I did better on the November SAT. I have few extracurriculars in school, and more extracurriculars outside of school, mostly athletic activities. I’ve taken the most challenging courses in my school, AP and honors. I have some academic awards. I have well over 100 hours of volunteer work. I was also nominated to the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine.

I’m looking to major in athletic training. What are my chances at the Pittsburgh campus?

You’re in, even with those sats (which really aren’t all too bad, except for the cr).

Thanks. Also, I’m a bit confused about applying for the athletic training program. I know that I can only apply my sophomore year in college, but how do I sign up for the prerequisite courses? Do I apply to the School of Arts and Sciences and pre-rehabilitation science or do they differ from the prerequisite courses for athletic training?

freshman are automatically in the school of engineering, business, nursing or arts and sciences. if you want to do athletic training, you will probably have to take chem, bio, etc. and sign up for them via your arts & sciences advisor during pittstart. this is why it’s good to go to the earliest pittstart you can; classes fill up quickly and the sooner you go, the better your chances of getting what you want.
let me know if you have any other questions :)

So, do you suggest that I just apply undeclared for the School of Arts and Sciences?
