I’m also a legacy, my dad graduated from Princeton

Thanks

I think you have a really good chance! You seem really well rounded and all aspects of your stats seem really great and complete! Your essay topic sounds really cool and the legacy will definitely put you at an advantage. You even have a really great award!! Good luck

Would you mind chancing me back?

Hey I just saw this and I’m commenting to tell you that I also ride competitevely, have a 33 ACT and am a legacy! And I was accepted SCEA, when I thought I had no chance. IMO, your chances are pretty high even though it is RD. If Princeton is your dream school why didn’t you apply early?

What does “really good” and “pretty high” mean when the RD admit rate is about 3%? If an applicant is twice as strong as her fellow applicants, then her statistical chances rise to 6%. Meh.

It’s a tough road to pursue. Apply with an open mind. Expect rejection, celebrate widely and joyously if accepted. See it as only a “hail mary” application and focus your energies, heart and mind on your match schools. Good luck

I didn’t have all my scores in :stuck_out_tongue:

@T26E4 This is maybe a bit random but how did you get the RD admit rate to be about 3%??

Had you applied early with a higher ACT score, your chances would have been good.

Your legacy status will help, but why didn’t you apply to Princeton SCEA? and MIT EA? I think that would have helped your odds significantly.
