I’m about to send in my application to UCLA comm and I was wondering what my chances are (I know this major is highly selective at UCLA.)

GPA: 4.00
Ec’s: Press secretary in my school’s phi theta kappa chapter
work experience: worked 15 hours a week as a food server during the last 2 years.
Awards: deans list 4x

I have completed 55 semester units (including the minimum of 4 major pre-reqs). I will have over 70 units by the end of next spring. I don’t have any volunteer work, community service, or academic prep to put down. Will leaving these spaces blank hurt my chances? Also, I couldn’t find my high school ssid, but the application said it was optional, so I don’t know whether this will be a problem or not.

Of the 7 UCLA prereqs, there is one that I may be unable to work into my schedule (linguistic anthropology). Will only having 6/7 prereqs disqualify me?

Lastly, I’m planning on submitting my application tomorrow, November 27th. Does submitting the application this late hurt my chances? Do any UC’s give preferential treatment to students who apply earlier?

Thank you very much, I appreciate any help.
