I am an Active-Duty Navy SEAL. My Tour is ending and so is my contract. I would like someone to give me my chances at Harvard or Yale Law School, so as to which I will decide whether to apply or not. Here is my background…
I graduated a competitive public high school in 2004 with:
Unweighted GPA:3.91
Weighted GPA:4.41
SAT:2390
W:800 R:800 M:790

In 2004 I was accepted into Harvard University.

Cross Country(4 Years)
Speech & Debate(4 Years)
Model UN(4 Years)
Political Review(3 Years)
Triple Helix at Harvard College(2 Years)
I graduated in 2008. Afterward, I commisioned into BUDS training as an officer and then further training until I was awarded my Trident. I have been a Navy SEAL for five years now and my term ends next year. I am looking forward to attend Yale Law School if at all possible.

Your chances are very high. Seriously, practically a shoo-in.

Just wondering how you graduated high school in 2004 with an 800 on the writing section when it wasn’t added to the SAT until March 2005…

I never thought Yale Law School took in account high school…

Yale: Aim for 175+ on the LSAT (if you scored 175+ on the LSAT you might want to consider Chicago, Harvard, Stanford or Columbia)

@jandjdad

Because he is trolling.

But others may not have realized it. There are so few Division 1 athletes who play two sports, I don’t think there are any who currently play 3 sports, and for all four years??? …All four years and those ECs?? Let a real Navy SEAL find that wannabe and see what happens…

The writing score is the score I got when I recently retook the test on my own time. The Math and Reading scores are from when I took it in High School.
High School Scores:
M:790
R:800
Recent Retake Scores:
W:800
R:790
M:690

I was not on the cross country team but I ran cross country, or long distance, every weekend to prepare for BUDS and to increase my farthest distance. Also I was a graduate of BUDS Class 271. If you do not wish to believe me you do not have to, but I’m simply stating the facts.

In addition, you can’t major in Political Science at Harvard College. You can concentrate in Government.

■■■■■.

On the contrary…

[Government Handbook for Students 2010-2011](http://isites.harvard.edu/icb/icb.do?keyword=k69286&pageid=icb.page348692&pageContentId=icb.pagecontent722242&state=maximize&viewParam_amp;amp;amp;name=Government&viewParam_amp;amp;amp;view=view.do)

Why did you take the SAT again?

Am I missing something? That document says “Government” all over it. And Harvard has no concentration in something called “political science.”

At least, not eons ago when I actually knew more about the College than I do today, and not that I can find on Harvard College’s online list of concentrations.

If you mean only to say that what Yale calls “political science” Harvard calls “government,” I know that. Many of us do. But your calling it by the wrong name makes me doubt you were a Cantab.

This is the only thread you have participated in OP.

He said he graduated with the writing score in OP. Then when called out, he says he took it at a later date.

I just don’t see the point. He was at Harvard so he did not have a reason to take it again.

First, thanks for serving our country.
Secondly, Yale will most likely accept you (99% chance), especially since you’re a Navy SEAL and since you have an impressive high school record (and the fact that you’d previously been accepted at Harvard).

I’ll play along. Here are the rosters for Harvard’s football and swim/diving teams for the time period. There is no one who is listed on both rosters…

What do u have to say to that OP?

I’m looking back over your info and reading other comments. I feel pretty dumb now.
Thanks for lying.

Wrestling is in the winter, and so is swim.
Wrestling 1 yr + swim 4 yrs?

stop, please…
