I see people say percentages on the chance thread and I’m wondering where people get these numbers? Like for UCI example, someone said their stats and someone would say like 57% chance.
Roger Hub has a UC chance calculator but after my son’s got their UC acceptances back, I plugged in their stats and the calculator was right about 50% of the time. https://rogerhub.com/uc-undergraduate-admissions-calculator/

It is not the chances for acceptance, but gives a good indication if you are in the ball park.
None of these calculators or chancing threads take into account the subjective parts of the application such as EC’s, essays and special circumstances.
UC schools actually publish specific data of the admitted class, and those who applied as well. Those are some of the only schools where they do that.
