I’ll take this as i’m under-qualified?

Better question: Are you going to let anybody’s opinion, be it a “omg definite shoo-in” to a “get outta here, no chance” stop you from applying?

Apply. If anything you might regret not doing so regardless of the results.

i would definitely apply. i think you should probably try to hone in on which of your XC’s are most important to you… instead of having a laundry list.
good luck! you have put together a great application so far, keep it up!

There’s a chance. If I were you I’d try to get that ACT score up (try looking at the ACT prep forum for help). Otherwise, really work on your essays and hope for the best once decisions are on their way.

@lorel: No one here can tell you your chances. The only way to know is to apply.

Have you taken advantage of everything your school has to offer academically? Have you shown leadership in ECs? Are you able to articulate in an essay why a biology or environment science major in a CALS is a fit for you? If the answers are yes, I suggest you apply.

IMO – it’s definitely worth your applying.

My guess (and it’s just a guess) is that you be in the pool of candidates from which Cornell chooses the bulk of its class. Many are accepted from this pool, but unfortunately, many are not. All you can do is apply and hope. At least an average chance, possibly somewhat above average. It will really come down to essays and recommendations.

30 on the ACT is equivalent to about 1640 on the SAT. In the range for Cornell admissions, though not on the high end. If you can get the ACT up a bit, it would help – more is better, but apply in any event.
