<p>hey guys, my cousin is really interested in UVA, but he is worried his mediocre stats could afect him.</p>
<p>He is instate, fairly poor, and I think first generation who is going to college < is that a big factor to college admissions?</p>
<p>his GPA I think is around 3.8</p>
<p>SAT’s are 1770</p>
<p>He is in the red cross club, key club, NHS, 500+ hours volunteering at hospital
he works at our parents convient store occasionally for no pay(just to help tired parents out) He did a bank internship paid job thing for a year.</p>
<p>HE went to Boys State, and is currently going to some program at William and Mary.</p>
<p>I want to help him achieve his goals, is there anything else that would help him?</p>
