I sent out my application last Wednesday, and I feel a void without the uber-stress. I feel like subjecting myself to the judgement of complete strangers will fill that. Also, I posted this in the wrong place. I am aware, so now I am posting it again in the right place. Don’t get rabbley. : )

—I know that ILR is very “fit” based, and I feel like my letters and essays portray that fit much better than stats / list of extracurrics…

also, about the odyssey of the mind, our team was pretty successful…we placed 2nd in state twice, and 7th at a world competition in 2008. there were 58 other teams in our division, and they were from china, korea, poland, kazakhstan…and all over the u.s…i wrote about odyssey of the mind for my common app extracurric short answer.

I’m actually a currenty ILRie and my suitemate (also an ILRie) had very similar stats as you except a 30 ACT. I don’t know why but he got GT’ed and went to community college for a year. He said it was the best thing ever though because he got to party for a year, get a 4.0, and finish off at his dream school anyway.

I think you have a very good shot though. Best of luck.

I’m not familiar with “GT’ed”… i’m not in with the College Confidential lingo, i suppose. But I’m assuming it’s the thing when people get admitted for their sophomore year? Yeah, that would kind of be ideal…I would save like $20,000 too xD…

Then again, I feel like the freshman year is so key for making friends, all being in the new environment together and all that jazz. But yeah, thanks for the reply / support / luck-wishing.
