-lived in korea until 6th grade
-lived in developing country (Fiji) for 3 years (6th-8th grade). my parents moved there for humanitarian purposes. Basically, lived in villages due to my parents’ decisions.
-moved to States (Cali) in 9th grade for educational purposes.
-lived with my older sister until junior year.
-currently living by myself because my sister moved to korea in summer.

-initiated afternoon school program at a village (taught english, math)
-founded MYT (Multiply your Talent–a music camp) and initiated the camp in local county (in my sophomore year).
-implemented MYT in Fiji the following summer (junior year). i organized the program at a school with 2 other volunteers from Korea.
-trip to Costa Rica (sophomore summer) as a volunteer in a humanitarian organization. </p>

<p>ESSAYS
i am planning to write about all the experiences i had in Fiji. i used to live in villages and, yeah… you could picture how my life was in fiji… like we couldn’t have internet obviously, and our house was one of the few houses with electricity.
And i’m also going to write about all the social inequities that existed in Fiji, (Fijians and Indians) and how i experienced cultural shock in a multicultural nation, United States.
Also, im going to obviously state all the hardships i faced in terms of constantly learning ew languages as i moved around. taking English Honors after 1 year in States was so frekin hard…
And i’m going to try to tie all the experiences and relate it to my intended major, Sociology.
i have taken college classes relating to sociology, so it might also help enhance my interest in that area. </p>
<p>My realistic top chioce is Cal, and i would really want to go to U Penn.
My SAT score is killing me a lot.</p>
