Chance for Caltech?

So I don’t have any SAT scores right now (Im a junior) but I just wanna see if my grades are up to par or not. I got to 2 different schools actually. My home school, then CART (Center of Advanced Research and Technology) [Center For Advanced Research & Technology ::: Clovis, CA](http://www.cart.org/about/whatis.php)
My major is Computer Engineering or Nuclear engineering.

So my current grades are (and classes)

Jazz Band (Lead Alto!)-A
AP Biology- B+
Statistics-A+
U.S. History- A+
Unscheduled (I’ll explain after)
CART Technologies (How to use Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint)-A
CART Attendence-A
CART English-A
CART Advance Science Topics (2nd year honors course for Chemistry)-A
CART Bioengineering I-A

My only EC is Marching band for 4 years (after next year)

My Current unweighted is a 3.889 GPA (Weighted is 4.0)

Next year Sadly enough, I will not be doing CART as I needed more time at my home school to do more AP’s and extra curricular stuff. Next year is AP Gov, AP Psychology, AP Music Theory and AP Chemistry. I obviously love science and math. I start volunteering soon and plan on doing mock trial and Academic Decathalon.

If I didn’t give enough information, just say so and not flame me (I saw that in some other threads) Im also applying to Cal Poly SLO. The unscheduled is something they give you for CART. Im on a 6 period schedule and Im in 10 classes so that’s gotta count. Right?

just friendly advice. if you havent started SAT yet, i suggest you do. you have like 2 months left

Oh I know. I’m pestering my parents about it. I will though. More the merrier

yeah if you dont get like above 780 in math and like 800 in math ii no bother in applying

No science ECs. From what I’ve read, CART does not seem elitist. Unless you get 2300+ and a few 750+s on SAT IIs, I am gonna say you are going to have an impossibly tough battle ahead.

Your weak EC’s will probably put you at a disadvantage, but good luck!
