<p>Im a junior in high school and I have average grades. My GPA is around a 3.2. I haven’t taken the SAT’s or ACT’s but I’ve gotten higher than 80 percent of other students in the PSAT’s. </p>
<p>Im a jazz saxophonist looking for a music school in new york. I will have 14 college credits in music by the end of my senior year from the college now program for music at york college where i lead 9 other saxophone players in the big band. I can play all saxophones, flute, clarinet and guitar. I have performed at very famous venues such as Louis Armstrong’s house, University of the Streets, St Peters Church, and Birdland. I’m friends with grammy award winning musicians Arturo O’farrill and John Benitez who both agreed to write me recommendation letters later on when i’m a senior. I interned at Sing for Hope and Manhattan New Music Project and even organized my own workshop for elementary school students and taught them about jazz on their “Fun Friday” </p>
<p>My top choices are The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music and SUNY Purchase. I am also considering Skidmore and lehman. </p>
<p>I’m just curious about my chances to getting into anything good or decent. Anything I should work on other than my grades or getting a good SAT score?</p>
