Status:
SAT I R800 M740 W650
SAT subject. UShistory 770, Math II 750, Bio 740
ACT 32
Private school Grade 3.6. Take all AP class available at the school
Varsity tennis state runner up… many EC

Ok first, I would suggest you to retake and get the SAT Writing to a 700. Second, it’s hard to predict since you didn’t give us detailed ECs. ECs are important in college admissions. If you could provide us with the list if your ECs, then we can see whether you have any leadership roles or have a passion for something and make a more educated guess on your chances. It’s not good just to have random ECs. Also, could you provide us with your class rank?

MIT: Reach
Columbia:Reach
Princeton:High Reach
Yale: High Reach/Unreachable
Harvard: High Reach/Unreachable
Cornell: Match/High Match if you apply ED,
High Match/Low Reach if you apply RD

Weaknesses: Sat scores are too low, Acheilles is right, get them up, also your ACTs
Subject Tests are alright but not great for the schools you are applying to
GPA will also hold you back, doesn’t rly matter that you’re a private school student unless its one of the most prestigious ones in the country

It seems they are all reach for you. Average GPA is around 3.9 for these schools. Your SAT and ACT scores are right around 50%. For MIT, your SAT2 are around 25%. You may have a better chance with Cornell (low reach). MIT and HYP are very high reach.

most of these are reaches for you. I would say you have a decent shot at Cornell and Columbia. Maybe if you use ED, you would have a good shot at one of the other schools. good luck!

chance back?
