Dear 6164CZ : Since you executed a “Bump/Bump”, some thoughts on your profile as uncomfortable as the feedback might be (foreshadowing here). Your profile reads very much like a repeat of your High School background as opposed to an inventory of your most recent college experiences. The expectation was that more of the focus should be on your last two years of community college and how that has prepared you to take your next collegiate steps. That detail is missing here.

More importantly however, there is something with your grades that does not make sense. You are reporting a 3.67 weighted High School GPA - which would have gotten an initial reaction as being short of the Top 10% of your High School class. Let’s say that you were in a tough prep school with a strong AP curriculum based on your profile. Then, you report standardized test scores of 1330/2060 which are very strong, solid numbers. For undisclosed personal or financial reasons, you decided to attend a community college and your community college GPA then only sports a 3.75. This is surprisingly low given the rest of your profile. It just does not all come together for me as the reader and without further explanation, Boston College just will not consider a college transfer from a community college environment without a stronger GPA number.

Perhaps if you could explain the numbers and offer more about your collegiate experience to date, we could offer a more positive review with additional suggestions for your application. Right now, we are left to conclude that your application will meet significant resistance.
