Before admonishing me for no safeties, please realize that I do, in fact, have safeties, but I don’t wish to waste anyone’s time by listing them.

chance back

Stanford - gonna be hard with no outstanding ECs, you’re probably better off applying ED to somewhere like Duke or Penn
Wharton - low-mid reach -> apply ED and I think that you’ll get in
Harvard - same as stanford
Brown - low-mid reach -> it’s gonna be hard with no stellar ECs to get into, and Duke is ranked higher so you should go with that
Duke - high match/low reach (apply ED for pretty much guaranteed acceptance)
Vanderbilt - high match
USC - match
Georgetown - high match, maybe low reach
Emory - match

Stats are excellent, but ECs very weak:

Stanford------------Very very high reach, probably reject
Wharton------------Small chance (they like business stuff) but still very high reach
Harvard-------------See Stanford
Brown---------------Apply ED and small chance, otherwise see Stanford
Duke----------------See Brown
Vanderbilt-----------Low reach/high match
USC ----------------Probably In
Georgetown----------Low/medium reach
Emory---------------high match

You interestingly enough have an application very similar to the classic asian profile, despite not being asian.

Thanks for your opinions. I forgot to say that I will most likely be captain of cross country and wrestling as well.

Which AP scores should I withhold from my applications?

Harvard and Stanford - not a match
Wharton- Have someone from your Investment Bank write you a letter of recommendation. Your chance will go up.
Georgetown- 40%
Brown,Duke- 30%
Vanderbilt-40%
All the rest your in!
Chance back please!

Thanks for chancing me. Your stats look pretty brilliant; I am very impressed with all of your leadership positions, granted that you do a lot of work with them and are not just a figurehead. I’d say you have a great chance at any of those schools! These other guys are really pessimistic.

you have a good chance for all of these. Just have a good essay and balanced application and good interviews and you’re good.

Thank you guys for your input. I’d really like some advice on which, if any, of my non-5s I should withhold from my application.

I’m much more optimistic about your chances at Duke and Vandy than some of the other posters. You are a solid match at Vandy and relatively good match at Duke, imo.

some of these guys are crazy. you’re in at Duke, Brown. Vandy is like a safety to you. Your only reaches are stanford, harvard, and wharton (low reach if ED). good luck

Your credentials look really good. I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in to most of the schools on your list; the ivy league is a crapshoot for almost anyone

Good Luck :)

Do what the guy up there said. Try to have someone at the investment bank write you a letter of recommendation, and apply ED to Wharton. Doing that, you’ll have a pretty good shot of getting in.

USC, Georgetown, Vanderbilt - probably in.
everything else - crapshoot.

Have you looked into Wrestling recruitment at the Ivies?

Stanford: High Reach
Wharton: High Reach
Harvard: High Reach
Brown: Reach
Duke: Reach
Vanderbilt: High Match
USC: High Match
Georgetown: High Match/Low Reach
Emory: High Match

Your stats are very good and probably on point or above average for most of these schools. However, your ECs show very little passion and look more like a laundry list. I think this will get you into schools like Vandy and Emory, which appreciate leadership regardless. However, for the very competitive places like Stanford and Wharton, I’m not so sure. Sorry if this seems harsh, you’re a great applicant and the process is such a crapshoot that it’s hard for anyone to really tell. Best of luck! Here’s a list of my final opinions though:
Stanford: High Reach
Wharton: High Reach
Harvard: High Reach
Brown: Low Reach
Duke: Low Reach
Vanderbilt: Match
USC: Match
Georgetown: Match
Emory: Match

I agree the ECs are a bit “laundry list” (ie: no one cares if you were a club treasurer) but your numbers are really great.

Stanford - Probable rejection
Wharton - Probable acceptance
Harvard - Probable rejection
Brown - Probable acceptance
Duke - Acceptance
Vanderbilt - Acceptance
USC - Acceptance (probably with half or full scholarship)
Georgetown - Acceptance
Emory - Acceptance
