My schedule this year:
AP Biology
AP Environmental Science
AP Physics C E&M

Class rank:
9th grade - top 21%
10th grade - top 30% (horrible year, obviously)
11th grade - top 21% (back where I started; upward trend in grades from 10th)
12th grade - straight As now, so I’ll definitely move up.

UW GPA: 3.0ish, thanks to terrible sophomore year

Circumstances:
disabled mother
incarcerated father
low income
first generation high school graduate
gay (not a disability, but living in DFW, bullying is an issue, perhaps something to put in an essay?)

Other:
4 years of UIL Academics, advanced to region last year, hoping to go to state this year
National Honor Society (thank God for my weighted GPA)
band freshman and sophomore years (since I got out, should I even mention it?)
FCCLA freshman and sophomore years (secretary sophomore year, but ^)
LIFT senior year (Leading Individuals For Tolerance, vice president)
50-75 hours of community service, even worth mentioning?

I have two felonies and one misdemeanor on my record, all before high school.
The felonies are from selling drugs and the misdemeanor is from truancy.
I was thinking of mentioning that in an essay to show how much I’ve improved, should I?

Thanks in advance. :)

I’m going to be brutally blunt, if you’re not an in-state student, you have practically no chance of being accepted. This is due to several reasons. Firstly, the 8% rule enforced by Texas means that a lot of spots at University of Texas (all of them, including Austin), are already very populated with Texas kids, and honestly, there are a lot of stellar out-of-state and international candidates fighting for the remaining spots.

I am an in-state student.

At a 3.0 and not in the top 10% you have no chance.
