<p>I’m applying ED class of 2014, and have begun to freak out about my chances. Any feedback would be really, really, really appreciated. </p>

I’m a Brazilian citizen and have lived in Brazil for 5 years, fluent in Portuguese, et cetera.
GPA: ~ 3.7 uw, see grades below
SATs: 740 cr, 800 m, 760 w
SAT IIs: haven’t gotten scores back yet, but I plan to keep taking them until I get at least a 750 on two of them (including latin).
AP Exam scores: 5 in Eng Lang and Euro, 4 in Art History (independent study)
Recs: excellent, I think
Class rank: Top 10%</p>

- President of the SAVE club (environmental group) for 1 year, secretary for year before

<p>I know academically I’m lacking. My sophomore year grades are despicable, but my counselor is going to explain in my recommendation about it. They are not a reflection of my academic potential and I am going to make that clear. How badly do they hurt my chances though?</p>
