Chance in H*ll

I am a junior in a highschool that is inconcievably small (under 100 students). I use to know where I was going to college. I have always been going to South Dakota School of Mines. Its a great, well respected school. However I have began to think if I can set my goals higher. I have recently considered MIT, but in my first two years of high school I got a B average, I score high almost perfect on standardised tests I am getting ready to take an ACT this fall, do I have any chance of making it into MIT.

You should try to get a 95 average this year. Literally. since it’s a smaller school, i would expect that it would be easier to get better scores then schools that have like 400 students per grade. If you just work harder and start things earlier, I’m sure it won’t be too hard to get that score. Just be persistent and stay motivated for MIT!
Good luck!! and get an amazing ACT score!! (:

Just do your best and hope for the best! Maybe look into other tech schools too.

Apply to both, and others as well. It’s important to apply to a range of schools, but make sure you apply to at least one where you’re almost positive of getting in. Then apply to match schools where your grades and scores would put you about in the middle of recent freshman classes. Then think about a reach school or 2 (and MIT is a reach for almost everyone). These are schools where the odds are against you, but what the heck! Just make sure you don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
