Any advice appreciated.

Thank you

Wow… smartypantss… yeah I would give him like a 50/50 chance.

Good chance? Yes. Will he get in? Probably not (just by pure statistics).

Any work experience outside of research and internships? Like at a department store or local restaurant?

It seems so rare anymore that applicants are doing simple, sometimes menial labor (unless they’re low income). So many smart and talented students apply to Yale each year, yet I wonder how many of them could stand being ordered around by a manager who probably never went to college. He’d deal with people of all personality types, from generous to downright b**itchy, and have to keep his cool. That quality would be absolutely essential to me; in addition to scholarly talents, he should demonstrate that he can handle the “real world.”
