You’re an incredibly impressive candidate who is clearly quite academic and hard-working. That said, the schools on your list are all extremely competitive and admission rates there are really low. Have you considered expanding your list to include some schools with higher rates of admission?

Balboa Bay VB is a great program; you’re really lucky to be there. One question that the AC may ask is why you’d leave a top spot on an extremely competitive VB program to go to a school where you can’t play the sport where you’ve excelled so much. Balboa players go on to play for Stanford, MIT, USC, etc. so they may wonder what’s so compelling about B/S that you’d give up this opportunity. Would you consider a school like Cate that has a competitive boys team?
