Stats:
Unweighted GPA: 3.6 with 14 APs total.
Weighted GPA: 4.8
My weighted GPA seems impressive but keep in mind that my high school is rigorous and extremely competitive- because of this, they use multiple buffers to fluff up weighted GPA. Even with this number, I’m hardly in top 10%.
SAT Math: 700 EBRW: 800
ECs: Mostly high-level music- I’m a State violinist and a finalist in multiple piano competitions, one of them being international level. Not much leadership, some honor societies. 350+ hours volunteering.
I’m applying to UChicago, Cornell, and Vanderbilt as my high-end reach schools. I’m fairly confident that I can get into my target schools of Case Western and UT Austin. I’m also applying to some decent liberal arts colleges.
Since I’m either going for a History or English major, and I made a 790 in the Literature subject test as well as a 760 in World History, how much does this affect my admission chances?
