My concern is that I attend a private school that does not offer as many honors and AP classes as most public schools. For the most part, I have taken the most challenging courses I can. My question is, do universities evaluate the difficulty of a student’s schedule according to what is offered at their school or will I be compared to kids whose schools offered more courses?
What school/major are you applying for? I think your stats are awesome. Try not to stress out too badly–I didn’t take any AP’s and got my acceptance this week. Just be patient, and hope for the best!! I think you’ve got a super high chance at getting in!
In answer to your question, universities evaluate students’ schedules according to what is offered at their schools. What matters is that you have taken the most challenging courses that your school offers.
I was wondering the same thing. My school doesn’t offer AP or honors courses, we only have some IB classes available. @Aida this may sound like a dumb question, but how do the universities know what is offered at each school? Do they really look to see which courses are available?
