Update!!! I just had my new school calculate it and it’s a 3.6/4.4.

Now how do I look for these colleges? Specifically for Vanderbilt!

I dont think Vanderbilt has EA, but only ED 1 and ED II. Either of those will significantly help your chances at Vandy. In terms of the others I think you should be very optimistic about your chances and you will have some nice options.

please chance back

You’re in at Penn State and Temple, in with Honors College (and merit scholarship) at West Chester.

The problem:
“Will apply for financial aid: Yes”
except for West Chester where you’ll get some money so total cost will probably be under $20,000, these universities will not give you more financial aid than the federal grants and loans, so up to $5,000 Pell Grant if you’re low income and $5,500 in loans. For instance, Penn State will thus cost you over $40,000 out of pocket: do you have this kind of money?
Vanderbilt is a reach.

You need to diversify your list and look either for in-state options that you like and can afford, or private out of state colleges where you’re among the top 25% applicants.

Penn State - match
Temple - safety
West Chester - safety
University of Alabama - safety
Vanderbilt - reach

most of your stats are really good, but your uw gpa is a little low for vanderbilt. you still have somewhat of a shot of getting in, so it isn’t like a waste applying or anything. just don’t get your hopes up cause after all vandy is a top 20 school. i know kids with amazing stats who have gotten turned down. but anyway good luck!
