Do you have a shot - of course - moreso at Wake.

But if you go to a private school - then that’s where you need to go - to your counselor because they’ll know exactly where someone with your stats ends up.

Depending on your ECs (how substantial they are time and commitment wise), you can be ok there.

Congrats on a great profile.

Other schools to look at - and not sure weather, etc. you like - but off the top of my head:

Rice, Emory for a reach…

Not sure Wake has what you want by the way - walkable to stuff - I didn’t see it.

In DC, you have GW and AU which are both safeties for you if you show interest. GW much closer to “things”.

Syracuse would be a bit larger - but would be a likely.

Right at home - the U would be a match.

For safeties, U Denver and College of Charleston would both meet your “walkable” to stuff needs. I’m sure there are more.

But go talk to your counselor.

Best of luck.

This all sounds like SMU would be great fit. Known for business, especially strong in finance. Expensive, but I’m interpreting “budget open” to mean that you aren’t worried about cost. You’d be a low match-to-likely for admission, with some merit aid possible.

Hard to say for Vandy/Gtown/WF. You should be in the mix, but space is limited - it will probably come down to factors beyond stats. I’d say a little better chance at Wake than the others. What about Colgate, Bucknell, Villanova, and Miami? Not sure whether geography or hot/cold weather matters.

Not sure what you think of as medium sized, but I know a lot of Business-type kids who have cross-shopped Wake Forest and Richmond. Not terribly walkable although neither is Wake Forest, but it is easy to get from either to their nearby downtowns.

I would also second the suggestion of looking at Bucknell, again a popular option for kids I know in this space, but that is much more in a rural setting.

Finally, I might check out Lehigh. Big Greek scene, very good College of Business, and a walkable commercial district (as long as you don’t find hills intimidating).

You look like a good fit for WFU ED. Wake’s rolling ED means you can apply as early as August and can apply to another school in case of an unfavorable decision. RD is a crapshoot, but much less so than Vanderbilt or Georgetown.

There is no real town to walk into except for Reynolda Village, which is accessed through a paved nature trail. There are several restaurants, but most of the students drive or take the shuttle off campus to go downtown or the nearby commercial areas.
