still have 1 year to work on my cv. please suggest.

You need a high school GPA and test scores before anyone can give any solid advice. If you get good grades and test scores then there are tons of options. Preferences like size and location are criteria you can set to help narrow the search. Finances too of course.

i’m sure to score well. school does not give GPA. I’m international and require financial aid.

I don’t know how much I can help you without test scores and a GPA (if the school doesn’t give it, you can easily calculate it once you get your first report card)…
It sounds like you enjoy math, so maybe a school that specializes in STEM? MIT and CalTech are some of the best in the country, but Harvey Mudd, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech (one of the less expensive options as it is a public institution - it’s not as prestigious as the others but it has gotten MUCH more selective in recent years and is growing like crazy) are good options.

GPA will be good. i’ve always been within top 3 of my class (of about 500-1000). scored around 95%.
but the rest of it? is it good enough for the top colleges? say MIT?

No one can give you even near accurate chances when you have no high school GPA, no test scores, and no high school level ECs/leadership.

You’re on the right track to be a competitive applicant for schools like MIT. But that’s the best anyone can tell you as of now.

You should also realize that only a handful of American colleges guarantee meeting financial need for international students, and they are (unsurprisingly) among the most selective colleges on the planet.
