ooh powerlifting

4

^^^yeah, i mentioned that to the admission officer in today’s tour at Emory University and she said I would definitely stand out…

5

bump, come on

6

To be honest, I think you stand pretty strong - 2000+ SAT, minority, nearly 4.0 UW… and your ECs are good. I’m not too familiar with those schools, but unless I am sadly mistaken, I’d say you stand a pretty good chance.

P.S. How much do you DL & Squat?

7

Emory University-reach
UGA (Safety)-ur in
Johns Hopkins- honestly i think ur a weak canidate there… sat should be at least 2150
U Miami-match
Georgia Tech-i think ur in
East Carolina University (Back-Up Safety)-ur in

8

thanks to both

Emory a reach?

and to Aze

deadlift 385 (weak, but im getting better)
squat 350 RAW/ 405 Suited
bench 310 raw/ 395 shirted

9

a light reach…you have a good chance

10

a small streach but you should be in

11

That’s not weak :stuck_out_tongue:
I do fitness modeling at rare times, and my DL is right around 350. But then, I’m a natural BBer, not a PLer. Good job!

12

Just a couple comments: Recommendations need to come mainly from your teachers. Some colleges are very specific about whether you can send additional rec’s from people who aren’t your teachers. I’m not sure of the requirements at the schools you are applying to but you can find the information on their websites in the application section.

I don’t know much about power lifting but Supplement Tester makes it sound like you are on steroids which isn’t too popular right now. I don’t think I would mention anything related to supplements.

Your grades are excellent and being Hispanic should help. Good luck!

13

in everywhere, where’s my gold

14

UMiami is a good match

15

it makes me sad that you said “more ECs that i can’t remember”
clearly, if you can’t remember them, they obviously aren’t worth it or you aren’t passionate about them. but otherwise-- i agree with everyone else.

16

^^^true superstar pie, but some like Academic Bowl freshman year and alot of awards I have forgotten about. I am however very passionate when it comes to anatomy/organic chemistry and the human body as I have shown.

Supplement tester is a common misconception- it is NOTHING not even near steroids or illegal activity. It’s all artificial aminos most of the time that act differently in your body and affect ur performance in and outside the gym.

17

UM is a match

and dude if you could get your math sat up to the 700’s g-tech will be a match for sure

18

yeah…im gonna retake it and study only math while reading a bit and practicing my essay a little. i should get 2100+ on my third and last try.

19

so emory and johns hopkins are what?

reaches matches??

i live in GA

20

Get those SAT scores up and keep your GPA high and you should be fine for all the colleges on your list. Good Look!!!
