Schools
I am planing on applying early to UGA. As well as, Augusta University and Georgetown

Where do I think I have a good chance at?

I still have time to do more with extracurriculars and awards and I am planing on entering in many competitons to get some awards. So any adivce to help with the application process would be much appreciated.

I think UGA will be tough.

Gtown impossible.

Augusta U is a slam dunk. Are you doing something STEM/Medical?

Good luck.

Thanks for the insight. I would like to go into business/gov. Why do you think UGA would be tough? Is it grades or ECs?

Certainly possible. But not a gimme. Purely based on stats.

Figure out your UGA GPA. That will tell you more

This was last year’s stats.

Certainly a chance.

But I think there are subs to consider - a Bama or Ms State will be cheap. A U of SC and UTK are possible too. I don’t think you need to drop to Augusta - if you want a flagship type.

In addition to Gtown, why not look at GW and American too ?

At my OOS school UGA has a reputation for being very GPA focused.

In state too, I believe, for those not deferred.

Thank you, I’ll consider GW and America but I don’t think it would be worth going out of state unless It was a top university

Why ? Cost ? Bcuz you’d earn scholarships.
My daughter just interned at arguably the top think tank in the country. She goes to College of Charleston. Turned down UGA Honors to attend.

Find the right school for you. Maybe it’s Augusta. Maybe UGA - it’s certainly possible. Maybe Georgia Southern. I dunno.

There’s many instate and out of state who would love you and give you money.

Maybe UGA will work out.

Best of luck.

If your username is a reflection of your real name, I would urge you to change it. Directions for how to do so can be found here:

Although you’re an international student, it appears as though your entire high school time was at a Georgia high school, so that might help your odds at UGA. I’d say UGA is a toss-up (could go either way and I wouldn’t be surprised), Augusta is highly likely, and you have a low probability of admittance at Georgetown.

How much is your family willing and able to spend on your college, per year? Also, does your family have all that money in the bank already? As an international student, to get a student visa the government will expect to see the funds in place in order to have the visa granted. Or are you considered a permanent US-resident (i.e. green card), in which case the international student part is pretty moot.

Thanks for the tip.
I was international for a very short time of my highschool career. I thought I would add it but now that I think about it, it was probably to minimal to make a difference

If you have US citizenship, then you are not an international student. Can you clarify?

There are many good choices instate. If you are open to a small school, GCSU is a great little option.

Agree with the need to clarify if you are an international or a US citizen. And certainly its way too early to worry about possible internships, so focus on developing your school/application list.
