Chance me at Stanford and Princeton!

<p>Hi, could you please chance me at Stanford and Princeton?? Would I stand a chance if I apply EA to one of them? Or would it be best to do EA at multiple other schools?</p>

Standardized Test Scores (reporting only ACT-it was better): 30 (took it again today, hoping for a better score!)
GPA: Unweighted-- 4.0 Weighted–4.162 (rank 7/392; top 1.8%)
AP/Honors Courses: AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP U.S Government and Politics, AP Physics B, AP Biology, AP Statistics, AP Spanish Language, Honors Spanish IV, Honors Physics </p>

<p>IN-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: </p>

<ol>
<li>Freshman Class Council (9): weekly meetings all year long; helped with setting up for various school events. </li>
<li>Green Team (9): monthly meetings all year long. </li>
<li>Model United Nations (11-12): weekly meetings and additional outside of class commitment in preparation for the Model UN conference in April.<br></li>
<li>Link Crew Leader (11-12): 20+ hours spent helping orient and making connections with the freshman class. </li>

<p>Your ECs seem really strong - very focused on science and research. GPA is good too. Unfortunately, a 30 on the ACT is going to make it tough to get accepted to either of these schools. If you can raise it to 33+ you’ll stand a much stronger chance. Definetly apply to Stanford and Princeton if these are your top choices, but make sure you also have some backup options.</p>

<p>ECs are good, but ACT scores are a little weak for these schools … Good luck though!</p>

<p>I refuse to weigh in on peoples’ chances but you asked whether you should apply EA to one of these schools. Have you visited either? If so, which one could you see yourself happier at? They’re very different environments. Stanford feels like an Arizona/California resort and has a more laid back feel. Princeton is in the woods of NJ and has a northeast feel, both in weather and culture. Stanford is larger (in all aspects) and Princeton places greater emphasis on undergrads (though as a grad student there, I must say they’ve treated me very well!). Maybe none of these cultures appeal to you. Apply to the one that fits better.</p>
