<p>I’m looking at Harvard, Yale, Brown & Wesleyan
Obviously my resume is really skewed towards Government/Economics, and my essays are likely to reflect those passions.</p>

<p>Just looking for some insight.</p>

<p>Harvard and Yale are reaches for everyone; you will have to realllllllllllllllllllly sell yourself in those essays to show that you are passionate about those subjects. </p>

<p>You also kinda have to let them know you’re a person too, if you know what I mean. </p>

<p>Wesleyan you’re fine. Brown, not too sure. They might like the Freedom to Marry thing but Ivies are always tricky. </p>

<p>Reasonable shot. I’d take the SAT though…they usually don’t look too kindly on the ACT.</p>

<p>@i see the moon: Thanks, appreciate the time. Honestly, I’m kind of refreshed to hear your concern about letting them know I’m a person (I’m assuming it’s based of my EC’s). My application fears have been more focused around my EC’s than whether or not I can convey my personal drive and what I’d hopefully bring to the university.</p>

<p>I agree with the other psoter who said that you need to show that you’re actually human and not a numbers-oriented cyborg. I think that you’er on track with your GPA, class rigor, ACT (not sure if Ivies prefer SAT, sorry), and a defined passion (through your ECs). Do your best to show what you’re about in your essays. You look good for Wesleyan, perhaps/competetive at Brown, and for Harvard + Yale, well enough said! Best wishes to you! :)</p>
